Nice bike and very light by my standards.

I think you’ve done the right thing making the bicycle as light and efficient as possible as that will get the best efficiency from the NuVinci CVT.

The electronic shifter is an interesting idea. Does it have any problems shifting under load and how much fine control do you have.

For me, it's a little bit to much on the heavy side! My previous bike was not the lightest (22 pounds), but I was so sure that this one would be equal or lighter that I was a bit disapointed when it scored 27 pouds on the scale Undecided

I have to keep in mind that it has a rear rack and heavy duty everything! (mountain bike components, 32 spokes per wheel, disc brakes...)

Also, the 50mm profile wheels are sure cool, but 38mm would have been a bit lighter.

In the end, I weight around 135-140 pounds so the total weight is still low compared to some of the guys that ride with me.

No problem under load, it is stronger than my fingers (can't stop it by hand) I have to say it shifts easier from high to low gears than it does from low to overdrive.

The servo moves slowly under load so fine tuning is perfect. It shifts really fast when free though so no fine tuning possible on a stop sign!

This electronic setup is temporary anyways... I will buy a co-motion shifter soon... it's the near 300$ price tag that stops me for now! The electronic setup was done for under 60$ in around 2 hours... so for now it's alright.
