First I have to give Matthias Wandel of http://woodgears.ca/ a mention as I have to thank him for introducing me to this very useful woodworking technique.
If you want to know more about the jig, Matthias is the best person to explain how they work. Sorry about the English I'll let the photos do most of the explaining.
My jig was built using only hand tools and all of the wood is reclaimed and a lot of it was washed up on the shore. It’s not built to the same standard as others I’ve seen on the internet but it can still achieve a reasonable accuracy.
I had to modify the design to make use of what I had. The screw is an M16 x 2 threaded rod which means it moves on by 2mm for every turn. I cut a thread in the first block of wood as the nuts provided for the rod are a loose fit. The dial is marked out in 10th of a mm which is all it takes to make the difference between a tight and a loose box joint.

If the wood is turned 90o it is possible to cut tenons. This was useful for the first project I did which was a jewellery desk.
